What a Tết booking looks like
- Tell us the city, the days and whose houses you will visit, and whether the visits are the family's or your own. Tell us which language your family speaks; we match for it where we can.
- We match a verified companion who is at ease with elders and brief him on each household and its customs, including how to greet and what to bring.
- Boundaries, timings and how you would like him introduced are agreed beforehand. The first visit of the year is a custom with its own meaning for many families, so he does not take that role unless your family wants it.
- He does not give lucky money unless you ask him to.
- On the day you have a courteous guest with you at each house, and a clear moment to move on to the next.

Will he be the first person to enter our home in the new year?
Not unless your family wants it. In many families the first visitor of the year matters, and the choice is the family's. By default he does not take that role, and visits only after the first day's family visits are done.
What does the price include, and how do the dates work?
The price shown for your country is the whole price; you pay 30% of it in advance to book. The festival packages appear only while the festival window is open, and the grid on this page shows the dates for your country. Outside the window, the standard day is shown instead.
How would he be introduced to my relatives?
However you are comfortable — as a friend, for example — agreed before the day. He will not pose as your partner, and if a relative assumes he is one, he politely leaves it for you to answer.
Is it strictly platonic?
Always. It is respectful, non-romantic company, with boundaries agreed in advance and nothing explicit involved.
